Our plan for your kids

  • COVkids is open in-person for infant-5th grade
  • Infants-Preschool will remain in The Cove for the entire worship time.
  • Elementary students will start and end in worship with their families. We will verbally dismiss them to The Cove before the sermon.
  • The indoor playground will remain closed at this time.
  • Safety protocols and extensive disinfecting will continue.
  • Digital COVkids will continue to be available for those who prefer to worship from home.

If your child is new to COVkids, pre-register to fast-track your check-in.

What should I expect in Phase 3?

If you have reviewed the plan and precautions Covenant is taking and you are ready to return to worship with us, we ask you to walk through the following steps prior to each service:

If a member of your family is not feeling well, stay home.

Take everyone’s temperature that will be attending service at home before worship. If any member of your family has a fever, stay home.

If you will be in contact with high-risk populations in the 48 hours following worship, please consider the risk to their health before attending.

Wear a face-covering to protect the health of those around you.

Our Cleaning Protocol

Chairs will be disinfected between services.

Hand sanitizer will be available at 3 stations in the building.

Door handles will be disinfected between every service.

Masks will be made available for any member wishing to wear one (volunteers and staff will be required to wear masks.)

Covenant’s facility underwent a deep clean before our return to in-person worship.

Check-In Required

We will not be passing physical Connection Pads to collect attendance.

Instead, a table will be set up to check-in all worshipers. You can speed up this process by using the Church Center app to check-in your family.

We are no longer using Connect Cards in the pews to collect contact information. But, if you’re new, we still want to connect with you. Please use Plan-your-visit to help us connect with you and fast-track your check-in process.

Refreshments

For safety we have paused our full coffee bar service, however, individual packages of donut holes are available.

Restrooms

Restrooms will have a paper towel or wipe dispensers installed to provide covering for handling stall doors.

Restrooms will have foot-pulls to limit contact with restroom door handles.

Worship

Ushers will seat groups to ensure a safe distance is maintained.

There will be no passing of the peace.

The offering will be at the end of service, we will not be passing the plates. We highly encourage you to give electronically through the Church Center app, however, if you need to make a physical gift, the plates will be available at the back of the sanctuary.

The congregation will be dismissed by rows to prevent crowding during exit.

Ushers & Greeters

Front door greeters will be required to wear gloves to open and close doors.

Contrary to our normal practice, there will be no hugs, handshakes, or high-fives when greeting.

Ushers wearing gloves will open the sanctuary doors as needed throughout the service. Ushers will dismiss family groups by rows to prevent crowding at the exits.

Communion & Baptism

Communion will be offered in ways the are deemed safe.

You can be served communion at your seat.

Communion stewards will be required to wear gloves.

Kneelers at the altar are available for prayer following receiving of communion. We ask that you please distance yourself from others at the rail.

Baptisms will be offered upon request with the understanding that touch is required to perform the sacrament. If you would like to schedule a baptism, please complete this request form.
