serve

Find your purpose.

Studies have shown significant links between serving others and our psychological and physical health. No surprise there. God designed us to serve our brothers and sisters. When we give selflessly, our world comes into balance.

Our church is not a building, but a body of believers in humble service to others. Through serving we allow others to catch a glimpse of God’s unconditional love.

Our missions

Disaster Response

When disaster strikes, we’re prepared to hit the ground running. In the wake of Harvey we were first on the ground. As the flood waters receded we were organizing, equipping and deploying over 1000 community volunteers from our command center into affected homes to muck out and clean up. Together we re-mediated over 150 homes. We continued to support our community with reconstruction to help get our neighbors back on their feet. We learned a lot. We’re committed to applying the lessons learned to support other disaster-stricken areas. With a stash of supplies, Command Center know-how, and willing volunteers, our Disaster Response COVcrews are ready to deploy wherever and whenever we are needed.

International Mission

Serving Gonaïves, Haiti. Long-term partnership creating lasting connections. We support Tabernacle of Christ Methodist Church in Bouk Vincent, Gonaïves in their efforts to provide education for neighborhood children and care for orphans in the community. We’ve also helped develop infrastructure and business opportunities. Our Mission Team returns yearly and has established close ties between Covenant and the people of Bouk Vincent.

Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM)

Serving the greater Tomball community. We partner with TEAM, located at 300 W. Main Street in Tomball, to help supply low-income families with food, clothing, and short-term assistance.

Covenant is proud to be a pilot partner in Tomball Benevolence Network (TBN)—a newly developing system to match real-world service offers from churches, community groups, schools, and businesses with actual needs in our community. The program is designed to respond to community needs with a holistic approach, matching individual needs with the individuals who can help most.

School Partnership

& Child Literacy

We support our local schools, teachers, and students through Homework Buddiesstudent mentoring, Books-n-Brownies summer reading program, teacher appreciation, supply drives, and sponsorship opportunities.

We also offer our facilities to school-sponsored groups who need meeting or event space.

Sunday Drive

On the first Sunday of every month, Covenant holds a Sunday Drive to collect donations in support of one of our Ministry Partners.

Covenant Serve Teams

There are many opportunities to volunteer right at Covenant too.

  • Sunday Morning Serve Teams are tasked with creating a warm and welcoming environment that allows others to participate more fully.
  • COVkids Volunteers work with our Children’s Ministry
  • The Summit Youth Ministry Volunteers work with our Jr. high and high school students.
