Optional Children’s Workshop
While you are attending the seminar, your child(ren) has the option to attend the Children’s Workshop where COVkids Children’s Ministry Director, Patricia Scott, will facilitate engaging children’s activities designed to teach your child healthy coping skills and emotional regulation.
The Children’s Workshop is an option for those who wish to bring children. You may elect to attend only the adult seminar.

LPC & Owner, Joyful Hearts Play Therapy & Counseling Center
Amy Drury is the owner of Joyful Hearts Play Therapy & Counseling Center, LLC. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. Amy is a Registered Play Therapist, a Fully Trained EMDR Therapist, has been trained to utilize EMDR in Play Therapy sessions, and is a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist. Amy has a passion for helping children through difficult challenges and works with a variety of childhood concerns. Amy also works with adults and loves incorporating expressive arts into her sessions.
Kirby Luna is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate at Joyful Hearts Play Therapy & Counseling Center, LLC. Kirby helps families find joy using a family systems perspective and has experience working with a variety of clients including ADHD, anxiety, and depression. She prides herself in using a variety of modalities to meet individual family needs. These modalities include play therapy, sibling sessions, family counseling, and individual counseling. Kirby is also training in accelerated resolution therapy (ART), which can be helpful for adults and children to work through severe trauma and various other symptoms. Kirby works with individuals ages 3+, tweens, teens, adults, and families.
Co-Founder & Exec. Dir., Mosaics of Mercy
Sherry Burkhard is the co-founder and Executive Director of Mosaics of Mercy, an organization founded in 2016 to assist the community in navigating mental health concerns. She has been on staff as a registered nurse at inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities, worked in the capacity of charge nurse, and done assessments for patients that come to the local emergency rooms with mental health issues. In addition, she is a speaker and writer (and podcast host!) who combines professional and personal experiences to inspire and inform others about the importance of caring for our own mental health and that of our community.
LPC & Certified School Counselor
Kate Turner is a Certified School Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor, trained in EMDR, and also a facilitator for parenting and classroom management workshops using Love and Logic® curricula. Kate was an elementary school counselor for 15 years and has spent over 20 years in private and public education. In late 2020 Kate closed her private counseling practice in Old Town Spring and joined new frontiers at Mosaics of Mercy, where she now serves as the Family Navigator/School Liaison assisting families towards mental health and wellness.
